• Section Class I (very easy): Chilamate- Puerto Viejo
This trip starts at our base in Chilamate and goes all the way to Puerto Viejo. The trip covers 11 km (7 miles) of mellow Class I water and is perfect for a relaxing float trip, nature viewing, or a trip by canoe or duckie.

This lower section of the river is very calm and ideal for nature watching. Amongst the lush tropical rainforest, a huge variety of birds, various kinds of monkeys, iguanas, butterflies, sloths and even crocodiles are possible to observe on this run. For fans of bird watching, this section is ideal.
Children and adults of all ages are welcome on this peaceful float.
